We move a lot of seedlings that enjoy cooler temps into our cellar.

March 16, 2021 Sadly we had to put Amos Moses down today.

He was 40 years old and just couldn't get up any longer. He brought to us 35 years of joy, humor and love. Rest in Peace little buddy.

March 21, 2021 Seedlings in the hoop house. It will be overflowing by the end of the month.

Hopefully we'll be able to get some of these in the field this month to make room for more. Scheduling is such a Rubic's cube.

What didn't get done in the fall, gets done now. Plastic and irrigation are lifted, compost is tilled in, plastic and irrigation re-installed.

March 29, 2021 Mulching never ends, but sure saves on labor throughout the year.

We use a variety of mulches - mainly leaf mulch, wood chips and straw.
