October 1, 2021 The only wind damge from last nights storm.

It looks like it will be a rainy October, too.

October 6, 2021. Orange dahlias where extremely popular this year.

We could have sold twice the amount of orange dahlias than what we had available. Who knows what will be popular next year?

October 8, 2021. We were down to one duck. Gary from Pleasant Acres brought us some more.

With all the rain, we certainly had a duck deficit-they are the best slug and snail patrol. Another rainy day, another good day for ducks!

The Flower Cart is still going strong!

October 19, 2021. I never remember a more pleasant tulip planting day.

2500 in the ground, covered, hot pepper and oyster shells for voles down. Now just have to get squirrel netting down. In the spring we will cover them with row cover to keep the rabbits and deer out. I have to admit, I am tired of fighting off vermin.

October 19, 2021. Our Flower Cart is usually closed by now.

As long as the flowers keep blooming, most of our time and energy goes into getting orders out and stocking the cart.

Oct. 23, 2021 Gorgeous Robann Royal and Bluetiful dahlias

They're just blooming their hearts out this October.

October 23, 2021 I invited some friends out to do a "frost cut".

Alas, we did get frost, but it melted off before the sun hit. Thus, no killing frost.
